We at the Water Protection Association of Savo-Karelia (SKVSY) promote the good condition and sustainable use of waters and the environment by producing information, implementing development measures and influencing decision-making for the benefit of our waters, region and members.

Our members are 23 municipalities, 11 industrial plants, five other communities and two honorary members. Our operating area includes the provinces of North Savo, North Karelia and partly South Savo.

We are the main owner of Savo-Karjalan Ympäristötutkimus Oy. Their services include research and surveys related to water, the environment and environmental health, as well as related expert services in Eastern and Central Finland and the Kainuu areas.
